Wisteria is a lovely neighborhood restaurant in the Inman Park area. The atmosphere is modest-rustic, yet very comfortable. Interior decoration mainly consists of a combination of brick and wood finishes with tables for two aligned across the wall. Wisteria is a great place to take visitors for a lively evening meal. The Menu is American with Southern culinary accents, e.g. their signature dish --Molasses-Rubbed Pork Tenderloin -- is absolutely delicious. Seafood lovers may try North Atlantic Skate Wing served over stone-ground corn grits. Service is very friendly and efficient. Complementary parking is available. Reservations are strongly recommended on weekends. -Manana Khachidze

The reviews we read were stellar. Top ratings across the board. We frequently dine out in Atlanta. Sometimes twice in a day and when we dine we dine well. We are known by name at Canoe and love places like Chops but it was time for something new. Take a gamble. We trusted the ratings of Wisteria and loved the beautiful picture postings. So we went. Mistake. We ordered the pimento cheese deviled eggs first. Bland and chalky. We thought maybe it was us. Lets stay for our main courses. I ordered the shrimp and grits and she ordered the iron skillet chicken. The grits were cold and some parts heated by the sauce. Yes bland too! The shrimp were boiled and yet again bland. I actually added salt to my food. I've never salted my food. I was willing to sacrifice and just bear through until I tried my partners chicken. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever tried. We couldn't make out what that seasoning was on the chicken that made it red but I gagged! I felt like a kid at the table being made to swallow my food when it was the most horrific thing I've ever tried. Oh don't get me started on the bread that must've at one point spent time in the freezer. The edges harder than a crouton! Did we tell our waiter? Yes. Did he care? Nope. We paid, we tipped, we left. The only high point was the parking lot attendant. He was charming, funny, considerate, and the only reason to go to Wisteria. Does the food look like the pictures? Yes! That's all that's true about the ratings. The pictures. You can't be a restaurant in the south and not know how to do chicken. It left a disgusting taste in our mouth and we will not ever patron a place that could care less to impress.
