Poor Rating: I live very close to the Taco Bell at 4035 North 7th Avenue, and have lived right in this area for about one-half of a century. I am in my mid- seventies, have heart trouble, and other physical ailments, plus I have this very, very bad flu that is going around and am starting into my fourth week, and I could hardly stand up.
I went into Taco Bell today around 4:20 P.M. or so, and Melanie was at the register. I ordered the two small cheese pizzas (wait is 6 minutes on them), and two bean tostados with no lettuce and extra cheese, plus two sides of sour cream. I then asked Melanie if I could have two orders of the Cinnabons. She said $1.09, and I paid. When I got my bag of food, there was only one Cinnabon bag in the bag of food. I told Melanie I wanted Two of the Cinnabons, that they gave me one, but I wanted the second bag, and I paid her another $1.09, and she told them to get me another bag of the Cinnabons.
After a few hours at home, I looked in the bag, and there was only one bag of Cinnabons, with another "Cinnabon bag" folded up, which was empty, and this plump boy in the back had walked over and put this folded-up bag (totally empty) in my Taco Bell food bag, AND he did it right in front of my face--and since I trusted him, I did not check in the bag. This guy, he wears glasses and is probably Mexican or Indian, or both (this is the only way I can describe him, as I do not know his name). He knew he put an empty bag in my Taco Bell bag, and he knew he cheated me. It is not even the money, but I wanted two bags of the Cinnabons and I meant it. I can tell this deal over and over, because I am right in your neighborhood, and as long as I can talk, I will!!! This is not good business, and he needs to be talked to big-time!!!
I called Taco Bell around 8:00 P.M. or so, as I am ticked off that some employee at Taco Bell would think it was okay to cheat an old person in their mid-seventies, or anyone for that matter, (and do hope it was not because I am White), who practically lives right beside your store, and this so-called employee, thinks he can get by with that!!! I paid for the second Cinnabon order for $1.09, and I know that Melanie knows that I did.
When someone answered, I asked for Melanie, and she said something, but it was difficult to understand her Hispanic accent, and I told her I wasn't a Mexican and to speak more clearly. She said what does that have to do with anything, and she said she was not a Mexican (she obviously thinks everyone talks the same way she does-but they do not). If she is not a Mexican, she is somebody Hispanic, who is difficult to understand (I think it is a pretty good bet she was lying to me, as I have heard many Mexicans speak in the 50 years I have lived in Phoenix. She was very, very, very snotty, and she said Melanie was busy, and I tried to explain what happened, that I was upset that this guy in the back tried to cheat me. She asked me why I was yelling, and I said she needed to be yelled at, and I didn't get a chance to tell her that the guy in the back needed to be yelled at and then some, and she hung up on me. When I called back, they did not say anything and somebody hung up again (very poor business). I think this guy might be a manager, but he should not even have a job there, along with the snotty girl that answered the phone. They both should be gone, as there are many decent and honest people that could do those jobs soooooooooooooooo much better.
I hope the person that owns this franchise reads this, because he needs to clean up some of the people in this store at 4035 North 7th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, OR get rid of them!!!
If the staff in that store gives you trouble, STAND UP FOR YOURSELF. I have read some of the reviews and they are not good.
