The newest, trendiest and most expensive of the Greek restaurants on Monroe Street, Pegasus is also the most adventurous. Besides the Greektown staples like eggplant, spinach pies and flaming cheeses, Pegasus has some American items and some offbeat Greek dishes, including squid, red caviar and tyropitaki (feta cheese wrapped in filo bread). Meals are cooked in an open kitchen in the front of the dining room, which is festooned with fake grape arbors and plenty of Greek icons. This is not your father's Greektown.
