My wife & I were sent to "scout" out Pasqualino's Italian Restaurant, Bryson City, October 2, 2007, as a possible place for the ladies of the church annual luncheon. About 25 to 30 people attend so we take care to preview a prospective restauarant.Respond
We arrived for lunch. The wife ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs. We were served a fairly typical lunch salad and a basket containg three breadsticks without any dipping sauce.
Our spaghetti arrived in a smallish casserole. At $7.75 we both expected considerably more than we received. The spaghetti was undercooked. Both of our tomato sauces were watery and there wasn't enough sauce to adequately flavor the noodles. The wife's meatsauce maybe contained a tablespoon of meat. I was served four ping pong ball sized meatballs containing more filler than meat - in fact they were milky colored.
The owner arrived but did not speak to customers or eyeball the lunches that had been served.
We agreed not to recommend Pasqualino's to our ladies group. If you decide to dine there, we'd advise you to skip the pasta and order a sandwich.
