I have been going to the Melting pot for years at many of your different locations. We (my family) have going there to celebrate anniversaries, graduations and just because. I have always enjoyed this restaurant and have even participated in special nights such as Ladiess Night and 80's Night. However, on Monday, April 6th at a Ladiess Night (at the Melting Pot Viera) I have never been so disappointed and felt taken advantage of and like I had completely wasted my money.

I have been to Ladiess Nights before and loved them and told everyone how great they were. That they were perfect because you receive spa treatments and a four course dinner. But, on April 6th, it was completely different. I have received an email advertising to me that there would be another Ladiess Night for only $40. Well, I called my mother, my friends and my Godmother and we made reservations to go.

That night it started off with only a hand massage and a chair massage. There were no mini manicures, no hair consultations, no eyebrow waxing and no parafin dip. Those were all things promised in the email.

We then went on to have dinner. Our server was wonderful and he had a great attitude! No complaints about him whatsoever. However, at the end of the night there was no door prizes and there were no goody bags. To make up for the goody bags they gave us cards for 30% of a Wednesday night. Now I work Monday through Friday and since I know the Melting Pot takes a few hours, there is no way that I would ever go eat there on a Wednesday unless for some reason I had Thursday off. I wanted the Goody Bag.

Well, then at the end of dinner they brought us the bill for our extra drinks, but not for the tab. I asked about it and they said my card had been charged and I asked how much and they said $53.00 per person. I was shocked because that was $159.00. (I had treated my mom and her best friend for my moms birthday.) I was even more shocked that they did not print me a receipt, like they knew what they were doing was wrong and they were trying to hide it. They didnt have me sign anything which makes me very uncomfortable.

I went to talk to the girl up front and I showed the girl the email that said it was $40 and she said that did not include tip and they had added a tip for our server and the spa services. I told her that I felt scammed and mislead. She asked me if I wanted her to get the manager and said with an attitude, To refund you the $12? Well, first of all it was an extra $13 per person so that would be a total of $39.00. She was very rude and disappeared and never brought back and manager and we ended up leaving.

So therefore the email that was sent to me lied about the entire night. There were
    1) no mini manicures
    2) no hair consultations
    3) no eyebrow waxing
    4) no parafin dip
    5) no door prizes
    6) no goody bag

and it was $53 instead of $40. If you could please explain to me how this was not false advertising.
