I was the first customer in the La Pita Detroit establishment and I purchased a cup of chili. Soon four or five more customers placed their orders and most purchased chicken shawarma pitas. As an individual who worked many years in fast food service, I understand that certain food items (such as chili) are prepared in bulk due to the long cook time. So one could argue, a cup of chili would be served faster than two or three chicken pitas. Furthermore, the practice of first come, first served does not apply to La Pita Detroit especially when a cup of chili takes ten minutes to serve. P.S. once I complained to one of the workers ( long-haired blond, she was not rude by the way) and she got the crew aware of my wait and within seconds a cup of chili magically arrived, which is how I know the preparation time for chili is minimal. The rude (white male manager) did not apologize for my wait, nor did he politely end contact with customer by stating (have a good day for example). He simply looked at me, passed me my food and that was that. I will never spend money here again, and before this incident I was a loyal customer of a three years and three months( a Wayne State Student).
