I must admit I am new to the "beer" society. I have just recently discovered that I like micro beers. I discovered this at Rock Bottom brewery in seattle. I love two of there beers so much that I wanted to find a place close to home to experience the same great beer. I went to the fishtale brew pub with my husband and a good friend of ours who are "beer" lovers. My husband found their beer to be good, but only one got his stamp of approval which is the trout stout. I did find one I liked, not loved but liked at it was the levenworth light. Of course I am not a true beer drinker, so finding one I liked was great for me. The service here is slow, but personable. The food was very very good for bar food. I wouldn't even call it bar food, that is how good it is. Just don't be in a hurry, as it takes a while to recieve your food if the place is busy. We ended up spending a great deal of time here on saturday form 1230 - 930. Several friends met up with us and we moved from our table to the sofa, love seat and chair they have in the back. This is a great place to hang out and I hate to give it an excellent rating as it will even be harder to get in!! The crowd here is very diverse, being in downtown olympia. You can wear anything from dressy to cross-dressing depending on your mood!
