My-self and 4 other friends dined in Amarillo earlier in the week, we all wanted falling off the bone ribs. And that is what we got and they were delicious !!!! And they were falling off the bone, just like we ordered.
Today, Jan. the 18th I decided to call in a To Go Order, stating I wanted ribs and I wanted them to be falling off the bone. I stated I would be there at 5:30 to pick up order. Upon arriving at 5:30 at the To Go area, I had to wait over 5 minutes for someone to come and help me, this was after ringing the bell three times, and I was the only customer there. Someone finally came, I gave them my name, they couldnt find the order, after waiting 10 more minutes they came out with my order, they opened the box and the ribs were 1/2 size smaller, than what we had earlier in the week ! I told them, why so small ? They went back to the kitchen, this took another 7-10 minutes. The girl came back and again showed me the contents of the order. Fine, with one exception, they were not falling off the bone !! I was told if they were falling off the bone, they would be over cooked and they were not to serve them that way ! I told them, by then there were two people helping, that I had specified what I wanted and that I had eaten in the restaurant earlier in the week, my-self and 4 other people.and that was the way they were. They then went back to the kitchen for the 2nd time and asked the chef if he had any; they then came back and told me it would be another 10 minutes before they had them. It was 6:00 pm, by that time, I had been there for 30 minutes ! I told them to cancel the order I would go somewhere else. I then went to Rudys and was able to order 6 Falling off the bone ribs ! Needless to say, I will no longer dine at Famous Daves nor order Take Out again.
