Poor service. Went Saturday, very few customers, was told no bloody Mary, no Chardonnay, then the first three items we ordered they were out but still on board. Had appetizer, then sometime later my friend soup came and was told mine on the way. Twenty minutes later she asked for her coffee the second time, was told mine was coming, brought coffee no cream or sugar, we had to get from another table. I finally asked where was my meal, she said coming. Brought me my side and said enjoy it's coming, I said prefer to eat with meal. After a total of one hour and forty five minutes, I called her over and asked for check and leave my meal off since it never came. She got hot went to the know then window then came with tab. I've always loved it there, but now have reservations. Server was poorly trained, had no clue.

Excellent. Best eggplant parmigiana in the history of primates walking upright. Mixed seafood was fresh and flavorful. We loved the squid, white beans and arugula ante pasta. Really good service. Vanessa is a great server.

Excellent if you care about friendly service go to Applebees. Blasé service is part of the deal; if you dont know that then youre not a true Richmonder. Also, the service isnt bad if youre not annoying. Your concern should be with the food, which is some of the best in Richmond.

I have been going to Edo for a decade. But the service and cleanliness has plummeted in the last year, and Ill be unlikely to return. Last night--Friday night--was particularly bad: Greasy floor, plates and utensils; Totally unfriendly server who obviously had far more tables than any human could manage; Food slopped on plates like a diner. I realize these are 1st-world issues. But there are far better ways to spend $250 that at Edo. Far better. You need to clean up--literally and figuratively--your act, Edo. Really not a good experience last night.

Poor. I did attempt to provide this feedback privately but no one returned my call. We were a party of three and were there to celebrate a family birthday. We had an unsatisfactory experience. Our waiter did not introduce himself and seem inconvenienced and annoyed with us. He reluctantly answered our few questions about the appetizers and told us if we wanted to know about the specials posted on the wall, we should go over and take a picture of them on our phones. He addressed any question we had impatiently. The appetizer was fine, one entree was fair, the others-- tasty. We paid a per person charge to serve a birthday cake we brought. He plopped it on the table wordlessly with a stack of plates, stuck one candle in it, lit it and walked away. A few minutes later, he dropped the bill on the table, never asking if we'd like anything else (e.g. coffee) and again walked away. The person who bused the table was very efficient but the waiter nearly spoiled our evening.

Rude host up front... Just plain rude. The kitchen is excellent. Shame I won’t be returning to pay for the honor of being treated like an inconvenience

Hello, I’m writing about my experience last night at your restaurant. I came in with 2 friends at 6pm. The waiter let us know there will be a 20 minute wait. We did not have a reservation, we thought Sunday at 6 pm was a safe bet. We stood by the bar and waited to be called. 20 minutes went by and the waiter came and said. “We’re clearing a table for you right now but you’re also welcome to sit at the bar, the full menu is available there as well.†We told the waiter since he was clearing our table we would rather just wait an extra minute or so for our table. Then another 20 minutes went by without being seated. I asked the waiter if the table was ready now or should we just sit at the bar. He told me “no, don’t sit at the bar. I am clearing the table now.†Then, ANOTHER 20 minutes went by. After now waiting an hour my friends and I decided to then just leave. I’m from Richmond but have lived out of state for the last year and half. Edo’s has been my favorite restaurant for over 10 years. I’ve spent birthdays and anniversaries there for forever. It was such a special treat to be able to come in last night since I don’t live at home anymore. My friends and I were extremely bummed and wish the waiter would’ve just been honest instead of repeatedly making us wait for a table that never came. Just thought I would let someone know. We have encountered this same waitress. She never smiles and acts like we're holding her up especially if you ask her specifics about a dish. Perhaps she's married to an owner as to why she's still working there. The food is always awesome and part of the atmosphere is the building, crowd and noise in my opinion. We've NEVER been charged for bread or refills and are planning on eating there next week so will be on the lookout for that.

Edos is an awesome restaurant which was why me and a few friends returned a second time, along with my Kitchen Sous Chef and a few of our fellow servers friends). Just like the first visit, the Food and Atmosphere was great. We tend to stop here on our way back home to NC from Kings Dominion. The Food has always been exceptional and the Service, until this visit! Our Waitress brought her attitude to the table along with her pen and pad. I wasnt at the table when we were initially greeted, Im not to sure of her name. (Tattoos on her hands) But she did not represent the Restaurant nor the Head Chef preparing the delicious entrees for the dinning guest. Dinner started at 5:30pm and we had just gotten there for dinner shortly after 7pm. Given we had a large group, we had to order the Family Style Option. Which worked out awesome. Few hiccups, but nothing that couldnt be ironed out. We were told we could order only 4 entrees and more could be brought out if needed. We werent offered more. We gave her some compliments on the dishes and her response was... (I seem to think our chef knows what hes doing!?!) and when we requested another bread basket... Who knew it wasnt FREE!? (Sure, Its not like its FREE,When we run out , we run out!) So I kindly asked her to put the Break baskets on the Bill, it wasnt a problem... although it seemed like we were being a problem, More so just felt like we were being Rushed out.. We Dine out all the time and all Types of restaurants, But no matter the kind of shift,day im having. I would not let my table see that show on my face or personality. We still Tip her, It could have been more... Thanks for thanking the time to read this.

Excellent. Always wonderful. Love the crab meat pasta but everything is great every time! Tough to talk as very loud.
