This establishment is on of the true Van Nuys icons. Just like Beep's down the street, both have been around a long time, and serve the best food. DeFranko's in my opinion, has the best sub sandwiches around. They are extra flavorful and extra meaty. And, they're huge. I can only eat half of one in one sitting. I'll take the other half home for my dinner. The employees are clean and extremely well mannered. I have never had anything but a wonderful experience whenever I eat at DeFranko's. A true landmark.
