Surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, Corsica is as close to France as it is to Italy, and Corsican wines fall somewhere between the herb-tinged, aromatic wines of Provence and the savory, earthier wines of Tuscany, explained Mariya. As most of these wines are consumed locally, only a small number of them ever leave the island.
