The city of Las Vegas in the State of Nevada is HOT. One of the hottest in the nation with over 139 heat related deaths this year. Marisol Gonzales at the front counter denied serving ice by shutting off the ice machine as I was getting a refill. If this woman has not already contributed to a senseless death, the chances that she will are obvious. Her lack of compassion and empathy spoke volumes about her skills as a customer service agent. With air conditioning, water and ice being basic human needs in the desert, you would assume that care representatives would be sensitive to these issues. Working with the general public puts you in a position to hinder or help society. In this case, Marisol proved that she is willing to put the publics health at risk by being insensitive. This is a chance the people can not take, as one life lost due to negligence and ignorance is one too many. I was handed a one ounce shot glass and told I could get water, but no ice. Her disregard for basic needs was apparent.
