November 19, 2008 835 pm to 850 pm - I was waiting in the drive through line which snaked around the building and out into the entrance. I entered my order for one item and waited behind one customer car who had pulled up to the window. I knew this was not going to go well when the car in front of me pulled up to the window, slapped hands with the taco bell employee and shut off his 2008-09 red Toyota Carola. I watched the driver get drinks right away. Their food was put in a bag and set in the drive up window. The employee and driver went on talking for - I am NOT exaggerating - 15 MINUTES! The bagged food was then taken out of the drive through window and given to the driver. The complete arrogance of this employee - that he could treat everyone else stuck in the drive up line like this gauled me to no end. I would have left if I could, but my husband was waiting for his one food item - a special treat and I couldn't go over the curbs.
I held my tongue with the employee when he finally allowed me to pay for my food and leave. I felt sorry for everyone else behind me in line that also had to wait for this pathetic excuse for service. This seems to be a normal occurrence with Virginia Beach Taco Bells. I have gone to other Taco Bells in the Va Beach area and they have kept me waiting for a minimum of 30 minutes in a drive through lane of 8 or fewer cars. Fast food is just a suggestion. I hope that this helps others to avoid getting held captive in the drive through lane at Taco Bell.
