I experienced poor customer service on October 11, 2012 at 12:45 p.m. I entered Round Table located at 5095 Telegraph in Oakland CA. at 12:05 p.m., which my partner and I do once a week. I asked the assistant manager, Ryan were they baking a barberque chicken pizza for the buffet? and he said, ” Yes it'll be coming right up!” I went ahead and purchases two pizza buffet lunch with two salads. Meanwhile, twenty five minutes or so passed, and I asked him again. He gave me the same answer, ” Coming right up.” While sitting there a women came into the restuarant while Ryan was in the back talking to another employee. He was away from the register long enough for her to grab her own bowl which she decided to put back and go over to the buffet, and grabbed a couple pieces of pizza with her hands and started eating the portions that fell from the pizza. She then sat down took her time and ate the pizza on a napkin. After she left he an another employee came out the back and my partner asked Ryan again, and he said it's coming right up, which it did 35 or so minutes later. Since it did my partner went up to ley him know that I would be taking a couple pieces of barberque chicken slices to go. The other employee said, ” We can't possibly make special irders for every customer that wanted a certain pizza. My point is Ryan could have stated that to me in a different manner when I initially purchased our lunch. I could've bought a personal size barberque chicken pizza for myself and the buffet for my partner. They were really rude and we'll never patronize their business again.
