i rather like the mcdonald's at 2413 86th street, brooklyn, ny 11214 telephone 17183729098 supervisor, abdul m. the manager is very nice also. the restaurant is pleasant and bright and the workers seem to be always professional and busy serving the customers. my grandson greatly enjoys the playroom where he often meets other children his age. i see many, many people have mcdonald's parties there also. out of the closest mcdonald's to my address i rate this one as appearing the best on a scale of 1-10 and 10 being the highest score. i am dismayed to say that i recently had an awful experience of discovering a live bug crawing inside of my takeout plastic bag of food from mcdonald's. i swiftly stunned the bug and taped it to a white envelope. i reported it to the restaurant. i took the dead but to a pest control expert to identify. i was told that it was most likely a weevil. i had never see a weevil in my life! i was so grossed out at the thought of it being in the same bag as my food. it led to me checking the 311 department of health violations for this location of mcdonald's. i saw that they only get inspected one time each year, unless there are health violations. this mcdonald's had a score of 7 as of 2009. it is pending for 2010 department of health inspection. i was surprised to see that in june, 2009 it was given a grade of 16! this means two inspections in one year from a 16 which is off the chart to a 7 as of 2009. so, if i understand this information correctly they are past due for 2010. i am not surprised now to see this bug in my take out plastic bag and i think that i will wait and see what 2010 department of health inspection yeilds for this particular mcdonald's site. this is october, there is still two months left for 2010 for their yearly department of health inspection to be reported. i hope that the grade 7 which is bad, goes down to a 1 or 2 because 5 is not good either and anything higher than 7 is just not acceptable.
