Cateran's has the best "country" meals in Greenville. They have wonderful fried chicken and catfish, always complemented with fried okra, mac and cheese, collard greens and other vegetables. They have a salad bar, as well as homemade deserts such as banana pudding, peach cobbler or strawberry shortcake. The prices are very reasonable, and the service is very friendly. It has been owned by the same family for over 25 years, and they put heart and soul into this restaurant.
