I LOVE Shank's Pier 40. I took my family there before a Phillies game. It was easy to park, the service was quick and it was so nice to sit outside there by the water. The menu had a great variety, there was something for everyone.

I know Shank's won the 2010 best hot sandwich award for the chicken cutlets with greens but I have to tell you, the cheesesteak is the real winner. I stopped in last week around 6pm and the steak was excellent on a roll that was super fresh. These guys have perfected the cheesesteak. It is a must try if you are in South Philly excellent parking, outside seating and open 7 days until 10 or 11pm.
